Savings Fund

Through the demand of our community members, we have launched the city’s first multi ethnic rotating savings club. Periods will last 12 months and distributions will be made at our monthly dinners.

HCC Scholarship

HCC Academic Scholarship

Deadline: August 2020

The HCC Foundation Scholarship Application is an online process. The applicant will only have to complete one application. Based on the questionnaire answers, the system will determine which scholarships a student maybe eligible for. Once you have submitted your online application, the process is complete. Applicants will be notified via email if they are offered a scholarship. The HCC Foundation will not provide any scholarship application updates over the phone.

Advantage Testing Helping Immigrant Families

A local tutoring and test preparations company has offered to help students from our community with free or low cost services. They can help with SAT, academics, or TOEFL tutoring. Registration closes October 31.

Academy for Dental Assistance

Our community fund has helped many students to become certified dental assistants with great success. Members of our community receive a tuition discount thanks to a strong partnership we have forged with the program’s staff.

Houstonians have signed up to create network ties for newly arriving immigrants. By adding your name to our email list, you can help us find the right social connections and employment mentors for newly arriving families.

The Opportunity Fund

Our community established a fund to support immigrants in their path of building a better future. The fund provides no-interest loans and small grants for tuition, examination fees, accreditation, vocational training programs, ESL, and other investments in education

Advantage Testing of Houston

Advantage Testing is a local company that helps students prepare for standardized exams and excel in academics through one-on-one tutoring. This month, they are offering pro-bono assistance for families who recently arrived to Houston.
